NORMAS DE PUBLICACIÓN

Endosurgery, órgano oficial de la Sociedad Española de Cirugía Laparoscópica, publica artículos originales sobre cirugía endoscópica clínica y experimental, técnicas quirúrgicas, notas clínicas, revisiones de artículos, nuevas tecnologías, noticias y eventos.

General:

  • La publicación es una revista electrónica que utiliza un proceso rápido de revisión para todos los manuscritos enviados.
  • Los artículos deberán enviarse en formato de procesador de textos estándar: Microsoft Word o Word Perfect.
  • Los originales no excederán las 15 páginas, sin incluir las referencias, tablas o figuras. No utilice numeración automática de páginas o notas al pie.
  • Los originales se enviarán en un cuerpo de letra 12, a doble espacio y justificados (con al menos 2.5 cm. de margen en cada lado)
  • No utilice siglas o abreviaturas en el título o el abstract.
  • Utilice el menor número de siglas o abreviaturas posible y especifique los nombres completos entre paréntesis la primera vez que aparezcan en el texto.
  • Utilice nombres genéricos de fármacos. Cuando cite materiales específicos o equipamientos, especifique entre paréntesis la forma breve del nombre y dirección del fabricante.

Componentes de los manuscritos: cada uno de los siguientes apartados del manuscrito deberá aparecer en página aparte, por este orden

  1. Carta de presentación: el autor principal deberá incluir una carta en la que se garantice que el manuscrito enviado ha sido revisado y aprobado por todos los autores para su publicación en Endosurgery.
  2. Título:
    . título completo del artículo
    . nombres(s) completo(s) del/los autor(es) con su titulación académica superior.
    . nombre y dirección de correspondencia, incluyendo dirección de correo electrónico.
  3. Mini-abstract: descripción corta del trabajo, no superior a tres líneas.
  4. Abstract o resumen: el abstract no excederá las 200 palabras y no incluirá abreviaturas, notas al pie, nombres comerciales o referencias. En el caso de revisiones o casos clínicos, use el siguiente formato:
    • introducción y objetivos
    • métodos
    • resultados
    • conclusiones
    • al menos cuatro palabras clave (usando la terminología estándar Index Medicus)
  5. Texto:
    • Introducción
    • Material y métodos
    • Resultados
    • Discusión
    • Conclusiones
  6. Reconocimientos
  7. Referencias: use un máximo de 25 referencias. Utilice el formato recomendado en el New England Journal of Medicine (N Engl J Med 1997; 336_ 309-315) o los “Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals”. Utilice las abreviaturas de revistas de la List of Journals Indexed en Index Medicus. Puede acceder a dicha lista en la siguiente dirección: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/tsd/serials/lji.htlm
  8. Tablas y figuras: cite las tablas y figuras consecutivamente en el texto y numérelas en el orden en el que aparecen. Las tablas y figuras deben enviarse en alguno de los formatos más habituales para archivos de imagen (TIFF, JPEG, GIF...). Las fotografías digitales, radiografías, CT scans e imágenes escaneadas deben tener una resolución de al menos 300 dpi. No existe limitación al envío de figuras aunque, el comité editorial se reserva el derecho de seleccionar aquellas que serán publicadas para ilustrar el artículo en cuestión.
  9. Leyenda o texto para tablas y figuras: deben ser breves y aparecer en la misma página que la tabla o figura para su correcta identificación.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

SECLAEndosurgery (http://www.seclaendosurgery.com) is the official organ of the Spanish Society of Laparoscopic Surgery (SECLA) and publishes original manuscripts on clinical and experimental minimally invasive surgery, surgical techniques, case reports, review articles, new technologies, news and surgical meetings information.

General Instructions

  • This is an on-line publication using a quick review process to all the manuscripts received
  • Manuscripts must be sent in standard text processing programs Microsoft Word or Word Perfect
  • Original manuscripts must not exceed 15 typed pages, not including references, tables and figures. Electronic numeration of pages and footnotes must be avoided
  • Manuscripts should be typed double space with wide margins (at least 2,5 cm in every side) justified, font size 12
  • Please, do not use symbolsor abbreviationsin title or abstract. If you use them in the text, specify complete names between brackets the first time they appear
  • Use generic names for drugs and specify manufacturer and city if you mention specific materials or equipments

Manuscript preparation

Every manuscript must contain the next items:

  1. Presentation letter, where the first author must guaranteethe manuscript has been reviewed and approved by all the authors and that they agree with publication in SECLAEndosurgery
  2. Title page, listing the title, names of the authors, institutions with full address and address and e-mail of the author to whom correspondence should be sent
  3. Mini-abstract, short description of the work (not more than three lines) to present it in the cover
  4. Structured abstract, of no morethan 200 words, not including abbreviations, footnotes, trade names for drugs or references. The abstract must include the following: background and aims, methods, results and conclusions
  5. Key words, at least four, using the standard Index Medicus terminology
  6. Text, arranged in the order: Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions and Acknowledgements
  7. References: no more than 25. Citations in the text should be identified by numbers in-brackets and the list of the references at the end of the paper should be in chronological order. Standard format should be used: N Engl J Med 1997;336:309-315 or Uniform Requirements for Manuscript Submitted to Biomedical Journals. Abbreviations of journals of the List of Journals indexed in Index Medicus must be used (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/tsd/serials/lji.htlm)
  8. Tables and figures. Both must be cited in the text and numbered consecutively. Tables and figures must be sent in any of the more frequent formats for image files (.tif, .jpg, .gif…). Digital photographies, radiographies, CT scans and scanning images must be of high resolution (at least 300 dpi). There is no limit for the number of tables and figures sent, but the editorial comittee will finally select which ones will be published
  9. Legends or text for tables and figures. They must be brief and appear next the corresponding table or figure.
